Mission Statement

IWe serve by assisting member of Mt.Olivet and Community with first aid, and if needed with their medication. We also show love through the spirit of the Lord, and compassion for our fellow Sisters and Brothers.

Floral Care Ministry
Mission Statement
"The mission of the Floral Care Ministry is to use God given skills to provide an appropriate and pleasing appearance of flowers in the church’s sanctuary for the purpose of and in accordance with giving God the glory."

Greeters Ministry

Summary
The Mt. Olivet Greeter’s Ministry was created to provide a service to the friends and visitors that come to worship with us at church. This Ministry, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, focuses on making visitors feel welcomed, like they are a part of the church.

Grief, Loss and Helps Ministry
Mission Statement
“A God-centered ministry committed to providing opportunities for people to help one another understand and express their grief/loss experience "

Summary
Life is a process of establishing primary attachments to, and separating from significant others. Grief is the tension that holds life and loss together. It is through the process of grieving that one becomes a whole person. Grief is a normal reaction to significant losses.

Senior Mission Ministry
Mission Statement
"To encourage Mission members to evangelize boldly for Christ to motivate, stimulate and encourage every child of God to press forward and excel at witnessing to the unsaved about Christ."

Summary
Mission serves as depicted in our Mission Statement by providing service to
the bereaved with care baskets, visiting the sick and shut-ins in their homes, hospitals, nursing homes, personal witnessing. We also provide Christmas gifts to young mothers with children.

Sanctuary Care Ministry
Mission Statement
"The purpose of this ministry is to remind all individuals that we are the church. Therefore it is our duty to recognize, respect and treat the dwelling as a temple of God."

Shelter Program Ministry
Mission Statement
"Project Home is a shelter program of the St. Paul Area Council of Churches in participation with Ramsey County. This is a special ministry to families that are temporary without housing. The emergency shelter is only opened when the county shelter is at capacity. Mount Olivet provides shelter for the homeless during the month of May."

Senior Ushers Ministry
Mission Statement
"Mount Olivet Missionary Baptist Church Usher Ministry is a service oriented church ministry that was founded on Christian Principles organized to provide order in the church service."

Summary
Meet, greet and seat the guest. Assist the pastor and putting the congregation in the right frame of mind to receive the message, by having a thorough knowledge of all the signs and being able to cheerfully and spiritually execute them together.

Trustee Ministry
Mission Statement
"The Trustee Ministry acts as stewards of resources that God has given to Mt.Olivet Baptist Church. We make sure that the resources are directed to ministry. We are involved in all activities of the church and act on situations and opportunities as directed by the pastor and the membership. We seek, through prayer and the guidance from the Holy Spirit, to maintain good relationships with all members, ministries and the community."

Summary
The Trustee ministry takes care of the business side of the church. This means that the ministry is responsible for keeping accurate accounting records of all financial transactions, the upkeep of exterior and interior church property and to ensure that the church equipment and supplies are in good working order.
